Bayshore HealthCare is seeking a dedicated Personal Caregiver to join our team in Windsor, Ontario. You will provide homemaking, companionship, and personal care to clients in their homes, ensuring comfort, safety, and well-being.

Qualificações

• Completion of an accredited caregiver training program or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of caregiving principles and customer service.
• Able to communicate effectively in spoken and written English; French is an asset.

Responsabilidades

• Provide comprehensive homemaking services including cleaning, cooking, laundry and household management.
• Offer companionship and accompany clients to community activities and events.
• Administer personal care services per care plan directives.
• Ensure emotional, spiritual and physical comfort and safety to the highest standard.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living tailored to needs.
• Perform specialized procedures as trained while maintaining competency.
• Document client conditions and report changes to Supervisor or Office.
• Follow infection prevention practices.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional care and support to our clients, while ensuring their comfort, safety, and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive homemaking services, including but not limited to cleaning, cooking, laundry, and general household management
• Offer companionship and accompany clients to community activities and events
• Administer personal care services in accordance with the care plan directives
• Ensure the emotional, spiritual, and physical comfort and safety of clients to the highest possible standard
• Assist clients with activities of daily living, tailored to meet their specific needs
• Perform specialized procedures for clients where training has been provided while demonstrating current competency
• Observe and document client conditions in line with company standards; promptly report any unusual events or changes in client condition to the Supervisor or Office
• Implement and adhere to infection prevention practices

Requirements:

• Completion of formal, accredited caregiver training program and/or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
• Strong knowledge of the principles of caregiving as well as well as customer service.
• Able to communicate effectively in spoken and written English; French proficiency will be deemed an asset
• Provide high-quality care services to clients with current knowledge of practices for community care
• Physically assist clients with movement and/or repositioning; able to lift 23 kgs., squat, bend, stand and reach
• Reliable mode of transportation; driver's license and automobile considered as an asset
• Able to produce a clear Criminal background check with Vulnerable Sector Check
