Job summary

Bayshore HealthCare is seeking a compassionate Personal Caregiver in Ottawa to provide homemaking support, personal care, and companionship for clients in their homes. You will follow care plans, assist with daily living activities, and help clients remain in a safe and comfortable environment.

The role requires a formal caregiver training background and strong English communication skills; French is a plus.

Qualifications

• Completion of formal, accredited caregiver training program and/or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
• Strong knowledge of the principles of caregiving as well as customer service.
• Able to communicate effectively in spoken and written English; French proficiency will be deemed an asset

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive homemaking services, including cleaning, cooking, laundry, and general household management.
• Offer companionship and accompany clients to community activities and events.
• Administer personal care services according to care plan directives.
• Observe and document client conditions and report changes promptly.
• Implement infection prevention practices.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living.
• Perform specialized procedures with training while demonstrating competency
