Job summary

Cargill is seeking an Electromechanic for our Chambly, QC facility. You will maintain and improve mechanical, electrical and automated systems, working hands-on with production equipment to troubleshoot issues and contribute to a safe, efficient operation.

The role requires a DEP in Electromechanics or Industrial Mechanics with at least 2 years' experience in industrial settings, and willingness to work night shifts and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be currently legal to work in Canada
• Must be 18 years or older
• D.E.P. in Electromechanics or Industrial Mechanics (or Quebec equivalent)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting
• Comfortable with physical tasks: lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, kneeling, standing for long periods
• Ability to work at heights and flexible to work overtime, weekends, or holidays with notice
• Basic software knowledge for maintenance documentation

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and respond to equipment issues to keep production on track
• Troubleshoot, repair, and optimize mechanical and electrical systems
• Support morning production startup and ensure equipment is ready to go
• Carry out fabrication, welding, and modification tasks as needed
• Participate in equipment upgrades and improvement projects
• Maintain a clean and organized workshop and plant environment
• Follow food safety and workplace safety standards

This position is in our Food Enterprise where we are committed to serving food manufacturers, food service customers, and retailers with a complete range of innovative ingredients and branded products. As an Electromechanic, you’ll be a key player in maintaining and improving the mechanical, electrical, and automated systems that power our facility. Exigences

• Minimum de 2 ans d’expérience en milieu industriel ou manufacturier
• À l’aise avec les tâches physiques : soulever (jusqu’à 50 lb), grimper, s’agenouiller, rester debout pendant de longues périodes
• Capacité à travailler en hauteur et flexibilité pour faire des heures supplémentaires, les fins de semaine ou les jours fériés avec préavis
• Connaissances de base en informatique pour la documentation de maintenance

Responsabilités

• Effectuer la maintenance préventive et répondre aux problèmes d’équipement pour assurer la continuité de la production
• Diagnostiquer, réparer et optimiser les systèmes mécaniques et électriques
• Soutenir le démarrage de la production le matin et s’assurer que l’équipement est prêt
• Réaliser des tâches de fabrication, de soudure et de modification au besoin
• Participer aux projets d’amélioration et de mise à niveau des équipements
• Maintenir un atelier et un environnement d’usine propres et organisés
• Respecter les normes de sécurité alimentaire et de sécurité au travail

Qualifications Souhaitées

• Certificat de raccordement d’équipement
• Expérience en soudure T.I.G.
• Familiarité avec les équipements d’étiquetage (Bizerba) et d’emballage (Omori, Ulma)
• Connaissance des normes HACCP et de l’industrie alimentaire
