Job summary

TD Canada Trust in Saint-Laurent, Quebec, is seeking a Personal Banker Trainee to connect with customers and help them achieve financial goals by presenting investment and credit solutions and guiding clients through TD products.

You will advise on high-level financial solutions, engage customers to build loyalty, and collaborate with frontline staff to deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. Training and district mobility are part of the program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and/or 1 year of relevant experience.
• Post-Secondary or Undergraduate degree in related field is an asset.
• Completion of IFIC or equivalent required.
• CFSA must be completed within 12 months, if hired.
• Real estate secured lending and/or investment experience an asset.
• Sound knowledge of investing and credit processes and banking solutions to provide personalized advice.
• Proficiency in MS Office and internet applications.
• Tactful communicator with concise, logical communication.
• A self-initiator with strong organizational, planning and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Play a key role in advising customers of high-level financial solutions from a range of available investment and credit banking solutions.
• By asking thoughtful financial questions, engage with customers and create positive experiences to retain and deepen relationships.
• Increase customer financial confidence by providing personalized financial advice, answering customer questions, and addressing concerns; escalate as needed.
• Act as a point of contact for the frontline staff in handling customer problems.
• Maintain professional space in common areas per guidelines.
• Work closely with existing and prospective customers to provide financial reviews and discuss portfolio updates.
• Stay knowledgeable about evolving regulations and industry codes of conduct and participate in process improvements.

Job Requirements:

Trainee Mobility

This opportunity includes a mobility clause that requires a candidate to be mobile within the Assigned District. Upon completion of the training program, we intend to assign you to a position which will be compatible with your training. The timing of thispostingwill bedeterminedby your progress in the training program and our ability toidentifyan appropriate opportunity. This may involve a transfer and geographic relocation to another TD location within your assigned region. It is our understanding that you are mobile to any location in this region.
