Job Description

Department Overview: At TD Canada Trust, we are the frontline of TD Bank. We strive to build deep and long-lasting relationships with our customers by performing a broad range of customer service transactions and providing information and advice on services, products, and solutions to existing or prospective TD customers. At the branch, we understand customer needs and identify opportunities to promote products and services to refer customers to the appropriate team member or internal Bank partner, while ensuring a positive customer experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Play a key role in advising customers of high-level financial solutions from a range of available investment and credit banking solutions
  • Engage with customers by asking thoughtful financial questions and create positive experiences to retain and deepen relationships
  • Increase customer financial confidence by providing personalized financial advice, answering questions, and addressing concerns; escalate to team members or partners as appropriate while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy
  • Act as a point of contact for the frontline staff in handling customer problems
  • Maintain professional space in common areas per marketing and regulatory guidelines
  • Work with existing and prospective customers to provide financial reviews, discuss portfolio updates and suggest additional personalized solutions based on financial goals
  • Stay knowledgeable about evolving regulations and industry codes of conduct and participate in process improvements
  • Strive to achieve and improve service level agreements and productivity targets
  • Ensure documents are prepared in compliance with relevant regulations and accurately reflect business intentions
  • Collaborate as a team member and support colleagues in completing work activities, addressing communication issues efficiently
Qualifications
  • High school diploma and/or 1 year of relevant experience
  • Post-Secondary or Undergraduate degree in a related field is an asset
  • Completion of IFIC or equivalent required
  • CFSA must be completed within 12 months, if hired
  • Real estate secured lending and/or investment experience an asset
  • Sound knowledge of advanced investing and credit processes, banking solutions and concepts to provide personalized advice in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office and internet applications
  • Tactful communicator with concise and logical information exchange
  • Self-initiator with strong organizational, planning and time management skills
