The Peripheral Systems Coordinator

provides strategic and operational leadership for the team supporting peripheral systems integrated with NAIT’s Student Information System (SIS), including Student Awards, Admissions Management, and Customer Relationship Management platforms. Reporting to the Director, Systems & Process Improvement, this role ensures system configurations align with institutional goals, maintain data integrity, and support operational efficiency. The coordinator acts as a key liaison between internal stakeholders, Information & Technology Services (ITS), and external vendors to ensure seamless integration and optimal system performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the peripheral systems team, including supervision, coaching, and performance management.
  • Oversee system configuration, documentation, and quality assurance processes.
  • Ensure data integrity through regular audits and reporting.
  • Collaborate with SPR leadership to establish priorities and manage operational workflows.
  • Act as the primary contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding peripheral systems.
  • Coordinate communication of system changes, outages, and enhancements.
  • Lead or support strategic planning and cross-functional projects.
  • Ensure compliance with NAIT policies, ATIA, POPA, CASL, and change management standards.
  • Recommend and implement system improvements and user access controls.

Qualifications
  • Post‑secondary diploma or degree in a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a post‑secondary environment.
  • 5–10 years of experience supporting technology solutions (ERP or similar).
  • 1–2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
  • Experience with peripheral systems such as Blackbaud Awards Management or CRM platforms (Slate).
  • Business Analyst certification (e.g., CBAP) is an asset.
  • Availability for occasional evening/weekend work during system implementations.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Applicants with education credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentials evaluated by World Education Services (WES), International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS), or the Comparative Education Services (CES).

Remuneration : $74,532.12

  • $99,841.04 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package. (Classification – Process Analyst II).

This position is covered by the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE) Collective Agreement.
