Job summary

A regional health authority in Nova Scotia is seeking a Registered Nurse - Perinatal to provide direct nursing care to obstetrical patients in the hospital. The ideal candidate will have a Perinatal Nursing specialty, current certifications, and at least two years of related experience. This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team, and effective communication abilities. Qualifications

• Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
• Graduate of a recognized Perinatal Nursing specialty program.
• Current CPR Basic Rescuer certification.
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certificate.
• Completion of Fetal Health Surveillance Course.
• Completion of Breastfeeding Course.
• Two years of recent related experience or equivalent.
• Ability to apply the nursing process effectively.
