Job summary

A leading city organization in Metro Vancouver is seeking a Performing Arts Program Assistant to join their Community Arts team. This role involves planning and implementing a variety of performing arts programs while supervising other staff. The ideal candidate should have a background in cultural work and possess strong organizational skills. This opportunity is perfect for emerging professionals in the arts sector.

Qualifications

  • 2 years related experience including supervision in cultural work or specialty.
  • Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License with a safe driving history.
  • Emergency First Aid Certificate and CPR C Certificate.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, schedules, implements, delivers, promotes, and evaluates programs.
  • Supervises instructors, volunteers, clerical, and junior staff.
  • Maintains the program area and equipment safe and clean.

Skills

Strong planning and organizational skills
Experience within a cultural organization
Understanding of Performing Arts Programming

Education

Completion of Grade 12 and some post-secondary education
