POSITION SUMMARY

The Primary Care and Pediatric Flow staffs utilize the nursing process to provide for the patient’s physical and psychosocial needs and to assist in the planning and evaluation of care provided. Provide for the educational needs of patients and families. Provide skilled nursing care to patients with multiple nursing needs in accordance with established policy and protocol. Demonstrate skill in written and verbal communication. Maintain and update skills and knowledge base in keeping with expected performance level. Project a professional and positive attitude toward patients, staff, and visitors in the Clinic and throughout the Organization. Participate in the function of the Clinic in order to meet patient care needs, Clinic and Organizational goals. Demonstrate competence to work with all age groups, types of patients in the patient population served, recognizing both the needs specific to age/type and techniques or modifications required for care. Complete assignments in an accurate and timely fashion. Perform to established protocol in Code Blue, biohazards, fire disaster and bomb threat. Demonstrate appropriate use and care of patient equipment. Seek assistance or guidance in areas of uncertainty. Provide for safety of patients, visitors, and staff through advanced safety and infection control policy and procedure.
