Job description

Job Category: Banking and Financial Services

Bank Australia is a customer owned bank, B Corp, committed to making the world a better place. We are looking for a motivated and proven HR administrator to join our P&C Support Officer team.

Reporting to the Head of People & Culture Operations, this position provides vital support and administration to the People & Culture Division. It contributes to a quality and positive employee experience across a range of P&C activities, while also supporting the Chief People Officer with sensitive and complex tasks including report writing, policy review and drafting, preparing board documents, and coordinating meetings with external stakeholders.

  • We have big plans to become Australia’s leading purpose-driven bank.
  • As a certified B Corp, we’re part of a global business community who meet the highest social and environmental standards, balancing profit and purpose.
  • Every role and person in our bank is essential to bringing our values, purpose and aspiration to life.
  • We offer flexible working options, competitive salary and 14% super.
  • Our staff have access to a range of meaningful benefits to support their physical and mental wellbeing including 24/7 free counselling, free flu vaccinations and discounted gym memberships.
  • We also support staff with study assistance, paid parental leave (regardless of gender), volunteer, bereavement, gender affirmation and family violence leave; and the opportunity for bonus annual leave.
  • We support our staff to grow their careers through learning and development and an organisational culture where we reward and recognise innovation and values, not long hours.
  • We are committed to building an inclusive culture and a diverse workforce that reflects the Australian community.
  • We care for a conservation reserve – where we work with key partner organisations to protect threatened species and involve staff in conservation.
What you will be doing
  • Coordinate onboarding processes, employment contracts, position changes, and probation workflows in collaboration with P&C Business Partners.
  • Liaise with internal teams (IT, Procurement & Infrastructure, Payroll, Accounts) to ensure smooth onboarding and employee transitions.
  • Respond to staff enquiries and maintain accurate personnel records across HR systems and files.
  • Administer key platforms including HRIS, Rewards Gateway, and Concur, ensuring data integrity and a seamless employee experience.
  • Support recruitment activities including job advertising, candidate screening, and interview coordination when required.
  • Process P&C invoices and manage IT requests for the Division.
  • Maintain the P&C intranet and ensure compliance with policies such as the online gift register.
  • Prepare staff remuneration review letters and assist with reporting, including monthly updates and insights from P&C systems.
  • Coordinate cultural initiatives such as staff gifts and service recognition.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including HRIS configuration enhancements to improve employee experience.
What you will bring
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and administrative skills, with a high level of attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities, multitask effectively, and maintain accurate records across HR systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with HRIS platforms such as ELMO or iChris.
  • A collaborative mindset with a passion for teamwork and delivering excellent internal service.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with a continuous improvement approach to systems and processes.
  • High integrity and adaptability, with a commitment to quality and customer-focused outcomes.
  • A Certificate IV or higher qualification in Human Resources (desirable), and familiarity with HR processes and compliance.
  • Commitment to Bank Australia’s purpose, vision, values and B Corp ethos.
