Job description

Who we are:

Founded in 2010, Semios Group is a leading agricultural technology company helping growers, agronomists, and ag retailers manage over 200 million acres across five countries. Semios pioneered variable-rate pheromone-based mating disruption in orchards and has since expanded into a comprehensive portfolio covering crop protection, water management, frost control, automation, and a leading farm management information system. The Semios Group includes trusted brands such as Semios, Agworld, Altrac, and Greenbook. We continue to drive the next generation of digital agriculture, supporting growers, agronomists and ag retailers in improving sustainability and profitability.

Our innovative work has been recognized with several industry awards, including:

  • AgTech Breakthrough – Smart Irrigation Company & Pest Management Solution of the Year
  • Thrive Top 50
  • Google for Startups Accelerator Cohort
  • Global Cleantech Top 100

We know our journey is only achievable by having a great team who shares ideas, tries new things, and learns as we go.

Who you are:

You’re driven by purpose and motivated by work that matters. You’re looking for more than a role, you want to be part of a growing, forward-thinking company solving real-world challenges to improve how farming works, today and for the future.

The People & Culture Co-op plays a key role in driving employee development, training content creation, and HR operations across Semios Group. In this 8-month work term, you will lead the authoring and deployment of interactive e-learning modules using Articulate 360 for HiBob LMS, support the end-to-end co‑op student hiring and wage subsidy lifecycle, and assist with general P&C administrative processes.

What you will do:
  • Convert departmental source materials (SOPs, slides, guidelines) into interactive e-learning modules using Articulate 360 (Rise/Storyline) and publish them to HiBob LMS.
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and functional leaders across teams to scope training topics, review drafts, and ensure technical accuracy.
  • Coordinate automated course enrollment, cataloging, and due‑date notifications in HiBob LMS, tracking user completion analytics and quiz feedback.
  • Support the end-to‑end Co‑op Student Program, including Workable job postings, ACE‑WIL broadcasting, reference checks, offer letter generation, and maintaining the internal Co‑op Tracking Sheet.
  • Assist with student grant pre‑notifications, collecting documentation, and managing ICTC WIL Digital subsidy workflows.
  • Perform routine P&C administrative tasks, including onboarding setup in HiBob, HRIS record updates, and submitted IT Jira tickets for student onboarding/offboarding.
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and up‑to‑date People & Culture files and documentation in the P&C shared drive.
  • Review and clean existing files, removing duplicates, outdated versions, and unnecessary documents.
  • Support additional People & Culture duties and projects as assigned.
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited post‑secondary Co‑op program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, Education, or a related field.
  • Eligible for an 8‑month full‑time work term starting January 2027.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada throughout the employment term.
  • Proficiency with G Suite (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides) and MS Office applications.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer‑service orientation.
Salary range:

$20 to $24 per hour

We publish a salary range to provide transparency and represent the full growth potential of the role; as a result, offers are made based on demonstrated mastery and experience and generally fall near the midpoint.

Winter 2027 Co‑op Term — Available from January 2027
  • Purposeful Work: Make a global impact by advancing sustainable food production.
  • Our People: Work with a fun, collaborative, and supportive team.
  • Work Flexibility: Hybrid working arrangements and strong work‑life balance culture.
  • Office location that is convenient via transit and bike paths

At Semios Group, we value the full range of experience and perspectives people bring—not just what’s listed in a job description. If your background is a close match, we encourage you to apply. If you need accommodations during the interview process, please let us know.

We welcome all applicants regardless of race, gender, orientation, sexual identity, economic class, ability, disability, age, religious beliefs or disbeliefs, or status. We believe that different perspectives and backgrounds are what make a company flourish.
