Role Summary

Reporting to the Manager, People & Culture Business Partner the People & Culture Business Partner will support in the delivery of day – to – day HR operations with a focus on employee relations and business partnership. This position will serve as a solid foundation for the HR team to provide necessary support to the business. This role is a 12 month part-time contract role and must be able to work from our Oliver, BC location on site (3 days per week).

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer employee questions about human resources policies and procedures.
  • Assist leaders with facilitating change management.
  • Guide and counsel leaders with day-to-day performance management.
  • Consult on issues related to legal and procedural compliance.
  • Support onboarding for new hires.
  • Participate in the execution of HR programs and initiatives (employee engagement, talent performance and development, succession planning objective setting, etc.).
  • Supports implementation of employee compensation, training and benefit programs.
  • Keep the business informed of HR initiatives and leadership requirements.
  • Prepares term letters and packages, arranges for outplacement services on day of termination.
  • May prepare severance calculations.
  • Partner with recruitment, training and compensation and benefits to implement strategies based on best practices to meet business goals.
  • Support organizational change.
  • Influence and champion the Company’s culture consistent with EVP and Core Values.
Integrated Business Partnership
  • Lead day-to-day HR operations of a specific client group as an integrated business partner.
  • Support workplace investigations, support crisis management action plans, support RTW plans, provide recommendations on attendance management and progressive discipline actions.
  • Support one or more specific functional team in the interpretation and implementation of local and central collective agreements, employment legislation, labour relations developments, employment standards.
What You Bring
  • College diploma in HR, Business Administration or related field.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 1-2 years in a similar capacity.
  • HRIS Systems preferred.
  • CHRP/CHRL.

Compensation

Budgeted Range – $40,000.00-$48,000.00. The budgeted range takes into account several factors and qualifications that are considered in making compensation decisions including experience, education, training, licenses, certifications, and other business and organizational requirements. Base pay is only one component of the total rewards offering at Arterra. The budgeted range will align with qualifications, including experience, education, training, licenses, certifications, and other business and organizational requirements.
