Job description

The People & Culture Manager plays a key role in shaping and executing HR programs across operations in Western Canada (BC & Alberta) . This role supports a broad range of initiatives including employee relations, engagement, compliance, labour relations, and culture building. It offers significant influence across the employee lifecycle and organizational culture - an exciting opportunity for a collaborative, detail-oriented HR professional who thrives on driving meaningful change and supporting a dynamic, multi-site workforce.

Work Location: This is an on-site role based at Securiguard's Head Office in Burnaby, BC

What You'll Do

  • Lead and support employee investigations, disciplinary processes, and compliance reviews.
  • Coach managers and operational leaders to ensure consistent, HR-compliant practices.
  • Deliver HR training and workshops for frontline and leadership teams.
  • Support onboarding, offboarding, and performance improvement programs.
  • Manage attendance and leave programs while ensuring compliance with legislation.
  • Lead recognition and engagement initiatives including awards, peer-to-peer, and appreciation events.
  • Manage employee engagement surveys from design to action planning.
  • Partner with client-facing teams to address people challenges, analyze feedback, and support cross-functional solutions.
  • Advise leaders on employee relations matters and recommend proactive strategies.
  • Develop and deliver HR communications and support change management initiatives.
  • Redesign HR workflows, ensure compliance with privacy and audit standards, and monitor HR metrics for continuous improvement.
  • Champion Diversity, Equity & Inclusion across programs and communications.
  • Support leadership development, coaching, and succession planning initiatives.
  • Ensure HR programs align with company culture and reinforce a respectful, people-first employee experience.
  • Promote a culture of inclusion, accountability, and service excellence aligned with R. E.A.C.H. values.

What You Bring

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or Communications (CPHR designation or in progress is an asset).
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in HR, Labour Relations, or strategic HR roles within a multi-site environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian employment standards, HR policy, and compliance best practices.
  • Proficiency with HR data analytics, survey tools, and dashboards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong stakeholder management ability.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Collaborative team player with strong judgment, composure, and attention to detail.
  • Schedule: Full-time, occasional extended hours for launches, events, or urgent priorities.
