People Advisory Services encompasses Mobility, Global Employment Tax Services, Total Rewards, HR Performance Improvement and Immigration services.

PAS Mobility services include Canadian and US personal income tax compliance and advisory services, mobility policy design, executive compensation advice, employer tax advice, and global coordination. We have an excellent career opportunity for a Manager, Mobility Expatriate Tax.

Your key responsibilities
  • Interface with clients and colleagues, located throughout the world, by phone, virtual meetings and in person
  • Analyze client tax data to determine appropriate and optimal Canadian and US filing positions, and provide tax planning advice to clients
  • Review US and Canadian personal income tax returns
  • Manage the financials of client accounts by:
  • determining resource requirements
  • timely invoicing and appropriate revenue recognition
  • monitoring financial metrics for optimal results
  • Provide guidance to more junior colleagues on both tax technical and performance management skills
  • Contribute to a flexible, stable, and team-oriented working culture that fosters personal development and a positive attitude
  • Engage in tax technical research to support both compliance and advisory deliverables
  • Leverage cutting-edge technology to maximize productivity
  • Understanding and addressing client needs in an ever-changing mobility landscape, by offering integrated mobility solutions such as immigration, workforce advisory and payroll systems

To qualify for the role, you must have
  • A diploma or bachelor’s degree, ideally with an emphasis on accounting, finance or a related field
  • Three or more years’ experience in US and or Canadian personal income tax
  • Enrollment in or completion of a Canadian or US CPA or US EA is preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of prevalent automated tax processing systems and current tax laws in an area of technical specialization
  • Exceptional proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel
