  • Understand plan provisions and applicable laws.
  • Assist in producing benefit calculations.

Job description

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Pension Administration - Customer Service team at Mercer. This role will be based in Montreal or Quebec City. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

You will work as part of a team in customer service within Mercers Pension Administration and provide high-quality administration services to a client portfolio including exceptional and timely customer service in all your client interactions.

You will also be part of a company committed to improving the health wealth and careers of its clients and their employees.

We will count on you to :
  • Respond to participant and administrator inquiries by phone and email;
  • Receive analyze and process documents received for benefit payments;
  • Process payment requests by calculating amounts payable with interest up to the payment date;
  • Update the client database (requesting and validating data using various systems and databases processing data and accumulating benefits and other relevant information reconciling participation data etc.);
  • Participate in the production of annual participant statements;
  • Understand plan provisions and applicable laws;
  • Participate in the development of various new procedures;
  • Assist in producing certain benefit calculations.
What you need to have :
  • College diploma (DEC) in administration or relevant work experience;
  • Bilingualism in both English and French;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word);
  • Demonstrate the following skills: excellent analytical and organizational abilities thoroughness attention to detail ability to work in a team autonomy and initiative.
