Job summary

Software Secured, based in Ottawa, Canada, seeks an experienced Pentester to help secure a few hundred applications. You will perform security code reviews, and test web, mobile, and desktop applications, while assisting clients with security design reviews, threat modelling, and remediation strategies.

The role offers remote work across Canada, with potential office visits in Ottawa, plus annual profit sharing and comprehensive benefits including health coverage and a home office stipend.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of performing application, mobile, or desktop penetration testing.
• Strong software development background in Python, .NET, Ruby or Java.
• OSCP or GWAPT certification is a plus.
• Expert with OWASP Top 10 and can explain them easily.

Responsibilities

Software Secured is a leading Penetration Testing as a Service company, with a head office in beautiful Ottawa, Canada. We help software development teams get ahead of hackers using a suite of services and products.

Our team of pentesters is seeking a pentester to join us and help secure a few hundred additional applications.

As a Pentester at Software Secured, you will have the opportunity to help our clients secure their mission-critical applications. This includes performing security code review, web, mobile, and network security tests. Help clients with security design reviews, threat modelling, and remediation strategies.

What we are looking for:

• At least 4 years of performing application, mobile, or desktop penetration testing.
• Strong software development background in one or more of Python, .NET, Ruby or Java.
• Bonus points for an OSCP or GWAPT.
• Expert with OWASP Top 10 and can explain them easily.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.

This job is available to Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or work visa holders.
