Southern Health-Santé Sud is seeking a Pediatric Respite Licensed Practical Nurse to support Home Care in the Boundary Trails Health Centre area. The term position is in person and 0.40 FTE, with 7.75 daily hours and an anticipated start date of Oct 8, 2026.

Applicants should have at least two years of community nursing, experience with tracheostomies or ventilators, and current CLPNM registration with BLS.

Position Overview
Experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years community nursing experience required.
  • Experience with tracheostomies and/or ventilators preferred.
  • ICU experience preferred.
  • Pediatric experience preferred.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Completion of Wound Care Level 1.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
  • Current active registration with the College of License Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Acute, Transitional, PCH, Primary Care, Public Health‑Healthy Living, Home Care, Oncology/Cancer Care).
  • Requires a valid Class 5 driver’s license, an all-purpose insured vehicle and liability insurance of at least $1,000,000.

  • Knowledge of Professional Standards of Practice, Competency Profile for Licensed Practical Nurses in Manitoba and Code of Ethics.

  • Proficiency of both official languages is essential for target and designated bilingual positions

  • Good work and attendance record.
Physical Requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the job.
  • No hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions.
  • May work days, evenings, nights and weekends as necessary.
  • Will be required to travel to other regional facilities as the position duties may require.
