Outdoor and indoor recreation opportunities are available at the numerous parks and golf courses, in addition to a state of the art recreation facility. The city also has a vibrant arts and culture community with an art gallery, a few museums, and live theater. There are also a multitude of dining and shopping opportunities along with a regional health facility.

Your opportunity is to provide a wide range of assessment and therapeutic interventions to primarily pre‑school population, and periodically older children as needed. On your team you will work closely and collaboratively with other Physiotherapists and Therapy Assistants, as well as Occupational Therapists, Speech Language Pathologists, Social Work, Early Childhood Intervention, and a Dietician. We often work closely with the home care nursing and Social Work teams. Strong community relationships with the local school teams, Pediatricians, FSCD, and other local programs allows us to provide a more coordinated service within our community. A strong link with the Tertiary Hospitals in Edmonton is also key in our success. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, Alberta Health Services currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non‑pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay. We have a supportive multi‑disciplinary team and a very strong focus on work life balance.

Description

You will make decisions and advise team members on complex clinical cases and provide clinical leadership within the program or service area to ensure safe, efficient and effective client care. You will ensure physiotherapy practice is evidence based and in alignment with Alberta legislation and regulations, professional standards of practice, code of ethics and AHS policy and guidelines. You will be coordinating the day‑to‑day operations of an assigned service area and monitoring care delivery, identifying service needs and assisting other medical staff with caseload management, completing chart audits and providing follow‑up and feedback to staff.
