Airbus is seeking a Product Development Process Architecture Specialist for the A220 program based in Mirabel, QC. You will develop and digitalize product development processes, map the engineering process architecture, and manage interfaces between design, engineering and manufacturing readiness.

You will lead cross-functional knowledge sharing, define process methodologies for Step X, and coach process owners while upholding European aerospace standards in a hybrid work environment near

Qualifications

• 5–10 years in aviation with PLM/product development.

The A220 commercial aircraft program is looking for a Product Development Process Architecture Specialist within our engineering department based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada), where you will oversee:

• Development and digitalization of product development processes;
• Definition, optimization, and mapping of the engineering and innovation process architecture;
• Management of process interfaces between design, engineering, and manufacturing readiness;
• Support for process owners and cross-functional problem solving related to the product lifecycle;
• Alignment of Step X project methodologies with Airbus enterprise management systems and global engineering standards;

Your Challenges:

• Develop and deploy product development process management methodologies and technical knowledge capture systems;
• Create a digitalized, integrated product development process structure for the Step X project based on clear roles, gate reviews, and accountabilities;
• Create and maintain engineering process documentation, ensuring consistency, compliance, and continuity across the digital thread;
• Implement and manage process interface methodologies between R&D, detailed design, quality, and operations;
• Facilitate technical knowledge sharing and break down silos across functional domains within the A220 program;
• Monitor and evaluate development process performance (KPIs covering design cycle times, rework, and schedules);
• Provide training, coaching, and support to product process owners;
• Lead change management activities to help technical teams adapt new methodologies while minimizing disruption.

Your boarding pass:

• You have 5 to 10 years of experience in the aviation industry, with a strong focus on Product Lifecycle Management (PLM / Product Development);
• Holistic understanding of product development phases (concept, integration, testing, industrialization);
• Proven expertise in end-to-end process architecture, mapping, and engineering;
• Proficiency in process modeling standards and tools (BPMN, Sparx EA, or equivalent);
• Strong ability to analyze technical data and solve complex cross-functional problems;
• Demonstrated skills in project management, change management, and influential leadership;
• Team player with a customer-oriented mindset and a creative approach to engineering challenges;
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in both French and English.

Due to the sector of activity (aerospace), frequent contacts with Airbus entities worldwide, and interactions with suppliers and clients also located across the globe, proficiency in English is required for this position.
