Job description

We are looking for an engineer with a solid hardware design background and an understanding of project management to support customer PCBA projects from requirements definition through design, validation, pilot production and manufacturing handover. You will work with customers, development teams, suppliers and manufacturing partners to meet project quality, schedule and cost objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Requirements and feasibility Clarify customer requirements, including functionality, performance, interfaces, cost and delivery expectations. Support technical feasibility assessments and hardware architecture decisions.
  • Hardware design and review Participate in or own component selection, schematic design, PCB layout reviews and BOM management. Identify risks related to power, interfaces, signal integrity, EMC and manufacturability.
  • Board bring up and validation Perform board bring up, functional testing and fault diagnosis. Work with embedded software, RF, antenna and mechanical engineers to resolve issues and verify design changes.
  • Project coordination Help define project plans, milestones and deliverables. Track actions, dependencies and risks, coordinate resources and provide clear progress updates.
  • Customer communication Participate in technical meetings, clarify issues and document decisions and action items. Assess the impact of requirement changes on design, cost and schedule.
  • Manufacturing support Support design for manufacturing and test reviews, test planning, pilot builds and production introduction. Work with manufacturing partners to resolve build and test issues.
  • Documentation and change control Maintain design documentation, test reports, issue logs and engineering change records to ensure complete, traceable and version controlled deliverables.
Required Qualifications
  • A bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Practical experience in hardware design, board level debugging and root cause analysis, with the ability to read and review schematics, PCB layouts and component datasheets.
  • Knowledge of analog and digital circuits, power supply design and common interfaces such as UART, I²C, SPI and USB.
  • Experience with at least one major electronic design tool, such as Altium Designer, Cadence OrCAD or Allegro, or KiCad.
  • Hands on proficiency with oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, bench power supplies and other common laboratory equipment.
  • An understanding of the PCBA development lifecycle, from design and prototyping through validation, pilot production and manufacturing handover.
  • Project coordination skills, including schedule tracking, risk identification, action follow up and collaboration across teams.
  • Clear technical communication and documentation skills, with the initiative to take ownership of issues and drive them to resolution.
  • Ability to communicate in English during daily work and technical meetings and to write technical emails and reports. Chinese language skills are preferred to support collaboration with customers, development teams and manufacturing partners.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience developing IoT, wireless communication or embedded products, including hardware integration of cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or GNSS modules.
  • Experience in customer technical support, field applications engineering, ODM or JDM projects, or electronic manufacturing services.
  • Participation in a complete product development cycle, with experience in pilot builds, production introduction or field issue resolution.
  • Familiarity with EMC, ESD, reliability testing and design considerations for FCC, ISED or CE compliance.
  • Experience evaluating alternative components, optimizing BOM costs and managing component availability risks.
What We Look For

You can investigate hardware issues in depth and translate findings into clear actions. You proactively coordinate the right people and make sound engineering decisions that balance customer needs, technical feasibility, product quality and delivery commitments.
