We are seeking a Child Protection Worker to join our Parent and Child Capacity Building Department in Mississauga, Ontario. Application deadline: November 26, 2025. Hourly Grade: 9 Non-Union ($41.38 - $53.30). Unauthorized workers rate: $38.15. Contract duration may change.
Reporting to the Parent and Child Capacity Building Supervisor, the child protection worker protects children as defined by the Child, Youth & Family Services Act. The worker assesses risks and strengths of families in the community and supports families in building capacities to care for their children. The focus of the position is to assume responsibility for temporary assignments in functions including Assessment, Ongoing, Family Placement (CIC) and Kinship across all service branches to ensure the protection of children as prescribed under the Act. The key responsibilities include assessing risk, well‑being, and planning for permanency through strong collaboration with families, our agency and community partners.
