Job summary

Quantum Management Services Ltd. in Toronto is seeking a Payroll Clerk (Non-Profit) to join a mission-driven finance team.

This role handles semi-monthly payroll for 200+ employees and collaborates with Finance and HR to ensure regulatory compliance and timely processing. Reporting to the Manager, Finance, the position requires 1–2 years of payroll experience in non-profit/healthcare settings, strong Excel skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree required; PCP certification preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 1-2 years payroll experience in a non-profit or health care setting.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, employment standards, and CRA regulations.
  • Experience with HRIS/payroll systems (UltiPro is an asset).
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Process full-cycle semi-monthly payroll for salaried, contract, and hourly employees.
  • Maintain payroll records and employee changes (promotions, terminations, salary adjustments, etc.).
  • Reconcile and remit statutory deductions per regulatory requirements.
  • Issue Records of Employment (ROEs) and respond to payroll inquiries.
  • Assist in year-end payroll procedures and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate payroll data within the HRIS.
  • Assist in payroll reports, analyses, and variance reports.
  • Assist in labour costing and allocation across cost centres.
  • Maintain payroll systems and support system upgrades as required.

Salary: $55,000 - $60,000

Our client, a non-profit located in the downtown core, is seeking a Payroll Clerk to join their team! Reporting to the Manager, Finance, the Payroll Clerk is responsible for the integrity, accuracy, and timely processing of a semi-monthly payroll for 200+ employees. This role works closely with Finance and Human Resources to ensure compliance with legislation and internal policies while resolving payroll-related inquiries.

Key Responsibilities
