KEV Group in Toronto is looking for a Payroll & Benefits Manager to oversee the entire payroll and benefits function. The role involves full-cycle payroll processing for Canadian and US employees and managing benefits administration. Ideal candidates have over 5 years of payroll experience and deep fluency in payroll legislation.
Join us to support our mission of improving education through better systems and making a meaningful difference in the lives of schools and their communities.
At KEV, we help school districts eliminate the school finance blind spot. Our platform gives district finance teams real-time visibility and traceability into every dollar collected at the school level—whether it’s cash, cheque, or digital. From field trips to fundraisers, we help them manage every dollar with confidence. More than 27,000 schools across North America trust KEV to manage over $8 billion annually. By unifying payments, accounting, and reporting, KEV simplifies life for bookkeepers, builds trust with parents, and gives finance leaders the oversight their current systems cannot. It is how we help schools stay compliant, reduce risk, and focus on what matters most, student success.
Backed by Five Arrows, the PE arm of Rothschild & Co., KEV is investing more than ever to support K‑12 in a world of tighter budgets, rising scrutiny, and fast‑changing tech. We’re headquartered in Toronto, with offices across North America. If you’re excited by the idea of building tech that protects schools, empowers finance teams, and improves education through better systems, KEV is the place for you.
As Payroll & Benefits Manager, you’ll own the full payroll and benefits function at KEV—the engine that keeps our team paid accurately and on time, and ensures our total rewards programs are competitive, compliant, and meaningful. This is a hands‑on role for someone who takes personal pride in getting every number right, but who also thinks strategically about how payroll and benefits programs support talent retention and business growth.
You’ll be the go‑to expert for all things payroll and benefits across our Canadian and US employee populations, working closely with People & Culture, Finance, and our leadership team to build scalable, compliant, and people‑first programs. If you thrive at the intersection of precision and process—and want your work to directly support a mission‑driven company—this is the role for you.
The base salary range for this role is 85,000–100,000 CAD. Total compensation may also include bonus and benefits.
