Job Title - Payroll / Accounts Payable Coordinator

SRI Shelter, a leader in modular home manufacturing, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll / AP Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Estevan, SK. The ideal candidate is conscientious, follows strict naming, filing, and document management conventions, and demonstrates strong problem‑solving skills. Multitasking and the ability to pivot quickly between priorities are essential, and when in doubt, you're proactive in asking questions to ensure accuracy. Strong computer proficiency is required.

This role is versatile, providing support to our accounting team, you will also help keep key departments running efficiently through tasks ranging from bi‑weekly hourly payroll, inventory data entry to internal communication and greeting guests at reception.

Key Responsibilities
Administer Hourly Payroll and Accounts Payable
Hourly Payroll
  • Process biweekly payroll for hourly workers.
  • Daily coordination with Production manager to reconcile the payroll system hours.
  • Maintain employee files in the system including but not limited to:
    • Onboarding and offboarding employees from payroll and benefits
    • Updating workers' pay rates.
    • Maintain vacation schedule
    • Update union seniority list
    • File employee documents on the drive and in physical folders.
  • Work with foreign worker consulting agent (CSL) regarding foreign worker status updates.
  • Prepare month‑end labor reports.
  • Complete monthly union calculations.
  • Perform monthly pension reconciliation.
Account Payable Support
  • Process accounts payable invoices in a timely manner.
  • Understand and perform the 3‑way PO match process.
Administrative Duties
  • Front Desk Support: Answer phones, manage mail, greet visitors, and assist with general reception tasks as needed, including management of office supplies.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline document management and administrative processes, maintain SOP documents.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in payroll, administrative, AP support role.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); familiarity with EDMS platforms (SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Friendly, professional, and collaborative with a team‑first attitude.
  • Discreet and trustworthy when handling confidential information.
  • Positive, proactive, and eager to learn.
