Payments business is a crucial growth driver for the Services business and a key element in achieving our goals of generating new fee-based revenue, expanding market share, delivering outstanding client experience and maintaining high standards of risk.

Canada is a key market for Citi. Our Canada Services - Payments business is entering a transformative period highlighted by an aggressive industry payments modernization plan, roll out of Real-Time Rail, an enhanced regulatory environment, ongoing application rationalization, and a rapid deployment of value-added products and services. This role will report to the Payments Head for Canada, leading the Real-Time Rail launch in Canada and other payment products within the team.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of the Real-Time Rail in Canada
  • Conduct in-depth market research, competitive analysis, and customer segment analysis to identify opportunities, pain points, and trends in real-time payments.
  • Manage, Project Lead, co‑ordinate and complete ongoing Control activities and related Regulatory Projects through interaction with Product, Compliance, Technology, Operational and other key stakeholders.
  • Oversee product releases, including comprehensive communication, training, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Banking to commercialize Real-Time Rail and other payment products
  • Drive product strategy, sales and client enablement, and P&L management
  • Monitor key product measures, identify actions necessary and lead corrective actions.
  • Manage business risk & compliance across suite of products, including completion of all audits, legal, tax risk, vendor governance, corrective action plans, and compliance and regulatory reporting
  • Ensure strong ongoing engagement by the Business, In‑business Control, and Compliance Functions that participate in the product approval and governance processes for new product launches and enhancements to existing products
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in payments, product management and/or development
  • Experience in governance / risk and controls, highly preferred
  • Analytical skills

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work in a team‑oriented environment
