Pay Analyst
Location: Calgary (hybrid)
Employment Type: Full-Time

We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Pay Analyst to join our Consultant Pay & Onboarding team. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely execution of the consultant pay cycle. This includes reviewing and processing timesheets, handling pay adjustments, processing consultant expenses, and responding to a wide variety of pay-related inquiries.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring a seamless consultant experience, supporting internal teams, and contributing to process improvements that enhance efficiency and scalability. This is your opportunity to make a real impact while developing your expertise in a national finance function.

What You’ll Do:

  • Review and process consultant timesheets accurately and on schedule.
  • Process consultant expenses weekly, ensuring accurate reports, receipts, and approvals.
  • Set up consultants in the ERP system prior to their start date and verify contract details in MG.
  • Respond to pay, timesheet, and expense inquiries within prescribed timelines.
  • Support pay-related tasks such as statutory holiday calculations, onboarding reviews, and pay schedule creation.
  • Prepare employment verifications and consultant reference letters.
  • Participate in assigned projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, automation, and scalability.
  • Respond to consultant and internal inquiries promptly and accurately.
  • Provide information, solutions, and follow-up as required.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance; OR 1–3 years of experience in payroll, AP, or accounting-related fields.
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, macros).
  • Experience with timesheet processing, accounts payable, and VMS systems (e.g., Beeline, Fieldglass, Flextrack) preferred.
  • Customer service experience in a professional environment is valued.
