Job summary

Natt Group of Companies is seeking a Pavement and Line Painting Labourer in Canada for a full-time temporary role with potential to go permanent. The job involves road construction tasks, including line painting, crack filling, seal coating, and minor paving projects.

Shifts include days, evenings, and nights. Travel may be required, and a valid G-class driver’s license with a clean three-year record is needed. The role demands physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist with asphalt maintenance, line painting, crack filling, seal coating, repairs, and small paving projects.
• Prepare road surfaces using power sweepers, washers, brooms, and blowers.
• Trim grass and bushes along asphalt edges.
• Support in barricade and cone setup for drying times.
• Periodically inspect asphalt wear, damage, or needs for re-application.
• Maintain shop and yard cleanliness and housekeeping duties.

Our client is looking for a Pavement and Line Painting Labourer to join their team on a full-time temporary basis with potential to move into a permanent role. If you have experience working in road construction, we’d love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist team leads and crew with asphalt maintenance including line painting, crack filling, seal coating, repairs, and small paving projects
• Clean and prepare road surfaces with power sweepers, washers, brooms, and blowers
• Trim grass and bushes along the edges of the asphalt
• Assist in cleaning up and monitoring barricades and cones to ensure adequate time for drying
• Periodically inspect asphalt for signs of wear, damage, or the need of re-application
• Perform housekeeping duties within the shop and yard

Qualifications and Requirements:

• 1-2 years of experience in road construction or related role
• Experience with paint sprayers or small engines like lawnmowers is considered an asset
• A G class driver’s license and clean 3-year driving record with reliable transportation
• Ability to work in a physically demanding role with lots of walking, bending, and lifting (up to 50 pounds)
• Travel may be required for this position
