Job summary

Tenaris is seeking a Patrol Supervisor - Electrical Maintenance in Sault Ste. Marie to lead maintenance teams and ensure safe operation of manufacturing processes. The role combines hands-on support with team leadership and reliability improvements.

You will manage shifts, monitor stock, and maintain maintenance records while upholding HSE standards and Tenaris policies. A strong electrical trade background is required.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of industrial maintenance or hands-on engineering technician experience.
  • 5+ years in a manufacturing environment.
  • Post-secondary education in Electrical Trade (442a preferred) or relevant technician diploma/certification.
  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing environment safety procedures.
  • Previous experience with PLC, VFD, sensors and High Frequency heating equipment considered an asset.
  • Previous experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, motors, etc. considered an asset.
  • Previous experience with SAP considered an asset.

Patrol Supervisor - Electrical Maintenance

LOCATION: Sault Ste Marie- Ontario -Canada

DEPARTMENT: MAINTENANCE

Role

As Patrol Supervisor - Electrical Maintenance, you will lead maintenance teams to ensure the smooth and safe operation of our manufacturing processes. Your role will encompass hands‑on technical support, team leadership, and the implementation of preventive and corrective maintenance actions to uphold equipment reliability and availability.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures the application of health, safety and environment standards and practices.
  • Complies with HSE procedures, report any incident or observation, perform inspections, and participate in the investigation process.
  • Responsible for performance management of direct reports by consistently applying the CBA and annual performance reviews.
  • Troubleshoots and minimizes the impact of failures on production processes by ensuring the correct diagnosis of the failure and the execution of the necessary interventions on equipment to maintain its availability and reliability.
  • Maintain a visible presence in the mill to foster employee engagement, communication and assess work process effectiveness within the team.
  • On production floor technical hands‑on support expected to be 70% or more.
  • Implements the preventive/corrective actions. Keep updated the risk analysis and the environmental aspect assessment.
  • Acts as a "shift leader" being responsible for leading employees during their assigned time period/shift, coordinating schedules, assigning responsibilities and ensure work safety conditions.
  • Verifies technical resource availability, ensuring a suitable minimum stock.
  • Manages and updates the maintenance information system and technical documentation, keeping record of the information related to their area.
  • Support Base Maintenance Supervisors in the execution of preventive tasks during the normal course of production and/or scheduled interventions.
  • Support Base Maintenance Supervisors in the execution of failure analyses.
  • Analyzes, interprets and recommends courses of action for more complex topics.
  • Interacts with internal and/or external contacts with a higher level of autonomy.
  • Complies with Tenaris policies, procedures and management standards, and ensures adherence with all laws and regulations that apply to the area of responsibility.
  • Proactively motivates, coaches, communicates with and develops their staff and manages HR related activities in line with HR norms and procedures. Protects from damage, theft or misuse the facilities, equipment and other physical resourcesassigned to their area.

Schedule & Working Conditions:

  • 12hr rotational shift, days & nights, with flexibility based on business needs.
  • Work is performed in a steel manufacturing mill.

Compensation:

The salary range for this role is $93,000.00 – $117,000.00 annually.

Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on factors such as the candidate’s experience, education, skills, and qualifications, as well as internal equity and market considerations.
