Qualifications

• Recent experience in a patient reception/care area preferred.
• Recent clerical and customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient registration within the ADT system.
• Provide assistance within the reception area.
• Perform routine filing and manage confidential records.

Skills

Knowledge of the Personal Health Information Act (PHIA)

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Accurate keyboarding/typing skills of 40 wpm

Ability to provide high attention to detail

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Demonstrated written and oral communication skills

Ability to respect confidentiality

Education

Grade 12 education or equivalent

Completion of a recognized Medical Office Assistant Program

Completion of a recognized Medical Terminology course
