The Patient Coordinator is responsible for managing the patient experience within the healthcare practice ensuring efficient scheduling, communication and support throughout the patient journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients addressing inquiries and concerns.
- Coordinate patient appointments including scheduling, confirmations and follow‑ups.
- Assist patients with registration and insurance verification processes.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate smooth patient flow and communication.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred.
- Experience in a patient‑facing role within a healthcare setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in practice management software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
