Responsibilities
- Coordinate the movement of patients through the health care system
- Employ creative problem solving to identify opportunities for process improvement in bed assignment, transfer, patient flow and resource utilization
- Ensure that appropriate administrative procedures are followed
- Ensure that quality nursing care is provided to patients
- Maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment
- Assist in the establishment of unit policies and procedures
- Set up and co-ordinate nursing services in conjunction with other health services
