Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the movement of patients through the health care system
  • Employ creative problem solving to identify opportunities for process improvement in bed assignment, transfer, patient flow and resource utilization
  • Ensure that appropriate administrative procedures are followed
  • Ensure that quality nursing care is provided to patients
  • Maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment
  • Assist in the establishment of unit policies and procedures
  • Set up and co-ordinate nursing services in conjunction with other health services
