Job summary

Discovery Mining Ltd. is seeking a Pastefill Attendant to support, maintain, and monitor pastefill activities at the Hoyle site. Responsibilities include installing and removing paste and associated services, operating various underground equipment, monitoring pours, and reading mine prints.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma, Underground Common Core, and at least five years of mining experience including construction roles, plus licensed mobile equipment experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and Underground Core cert required.
• Five years mining experience including 3 years in construction.
• Trained and licensed on mobile equipment in the mine.
• Underground experience with paste pipe installation.
• Ability to read paste letters and mine prints.

Responsibilities

• Install and replace air, water, sump and paste line services.
• Operate jackleg, stoper and underground mobile equipment (scissord ecks, LHD, boom trucks).
• Monitor paste pours and coordinate with surface batch plant.
• Read paste letters and mine prints.
• Non Destructive Testing of paste line components.
• Other duties as assigned by Frontline Supervisor.

The Position

Support, maintain and monitor pastefill activities.

Key Responsibilities

• The installation and removal / replacement of air, water, sump and paste line services as required.
• Must be able to operate jackleg, stoper, a large variety of u/g mobile equipment including scissordecks, LHD equipment , boom trucks , service vehicles
• Must be able to monitor paste pours along with communicating with batch plant on surface
• Must be able to read and understand paste letters and mine prints
• Non Destructive Testing of Paste Line components
• Other duties as assigned by the Frontline Supervisor.
