Job summary

The Michaels Companies is seeking a Part-time Event Host for our Edmonton store. You will plan and coordinate events, including children’s birthday parties and craft classes, while engaging guests with fun activities and face painting.

You will also assist customers, handle checkouts, and promote store programs. Ideal candidates have experience with kids events, strong communication, and excellent people skills; retail or customer service background is preferred.

## Party & Event HostApply: Edmonton-3741 17th St NW: Part time: Posted Today: R00324219Store - EDMONTON-SOUTHEAST, ABPlan, coordinate, and facilitate events (including kids birthday parties) within a Michaels store to provide a stress-free, fun, and engaging experience for guests. Deliver friendly customer service by helping customers shop at our store and find what they’re looking for. Ensure all customers receive a fast and friendly checkout experience. Complete operational tasks including truck unload, merchandise duties, and maintaining store recovery standards as needed to deliver our Brand Promises.**Event Coordination*** Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes or events.* Engage with clients of all ages, from 4 to 94+, by creating an environment of fun and creativity.* Demonstrate and instruct party participants in the completion of craft projects, perform face painting and other activities.* Facilitate and implement party add-ons such as goody bags, balloons, etc. to company standards.* Communicate events with clients and store team members.* Complete administrative tasks such as answering emails, making phone calls, and completing paperwork as needed.* Adjust plans and events based on client’s feedback and needs.* Create backup or emergency plans to be executed as needed.* Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events.* Uphold the company’s cleanliness and safety standards.
