  • Previous forklift experience is an asset.

  • Maintain purchase and issuing records.

Overview

PARTS TECHNICIAN - Apprentice

  • This position is located in Red Deer AB.

The Parts Technician - Apprentice will be a member of the Maintenance Department responsible for the organization of the parts in the parts room. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager the Parts Technician - Apprentice will focus on proper paperwork supply and maintenance of parts for the District.

Specific Accountabilities
  • Work safely in accordance with all company safety policies procedures and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements
  • Must attend all pre job meetings and attend safety meetings when required
  • Provide courteous and professional counter service to all internal and external customers
  • Effectively communicate with Maintenance management regarding a continuous supply and maintenance of required parts
  • Ensure adherence to operational policies and procedures to achieve safety objectives
  • Organize and maintain the inventory areas
  • Shipping and receiving
  • Maintain purchase and issuing records
  • Adhere to proper shift crossover procedure
  • Safe operation of a forklift as required
Key Attributes and Competencies
  • Shifts Schedule 8 / 6 (8 days on and 6 days off)
  • Follow and enforce safe work procedures codes and regulations
  • Energetic self-starter able to work in a dynamic environment
  • Able to handle multiple tasks by prioritizing and maintaining a high attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Work and inspire others to work at high performance levels
  • Knowledge of coil tubing fracturing and truck and trailer an asset but not required
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word and is essential
  • Must be mechanically inclined
  • Team player with the ability to conduct work with professionalism
  • This position is considered to be a Safety Sensitive Position and may require additional screening
  • This position has bona fide physical requirements and may require additional screening (please refer to the applicable Physical Demands Profile)
Education and Experience
  • Enrolled in or working towards the Parts Technician Certification.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License or equivalent required
  • Satisfactory Drivers Abstract required
  • Previous forklift experience is an asset
  • Required Experience : IC
