Job summary

Morgan Construction & Environmental Ltd. is seeking a Parts Coordinator (Warehouse Attendant) to support the Kearl Lake project. This role involves receiving, storing, and distributing parts, coordinating shipments, and maintaining accurate inventory while upholding Morgan’s safety standards.

Training occurs at the Poplar Creek yard with no flights during the initial rotations; flights are provided after training. Rotation is 14 days on/14 days off, with 12-hour shifts and lodging provided.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience as a parts coordinator or similar role.
  • Knowledge of shipping procedures for dangerous goods.
  • Ability to lift/push/pull heavy items regularly.
  • Experience with inventory control systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Must possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Receive all incoming parts and verify against shipping documents.
  • Ensure proper safe storage and handling of all parts and materials.
  • Prepare documents and ship items back to vendors; address damages/shortages.
  • Pickup and deliver parts and components as needed.
  • Maintain stocked shelves and organize the shop area.
  • Participate in Morgan’s safety program and promote a strong safety culture.

Overview

We are currently accepting applications to support upcoming our Kearl Lake project.

Training will initially be done at our Poplar Creek yard - No flights available for your first two rotations.

Once Training is complete, you will be mobilized to Kearl Lake and flights from Edmonton or Calgary will be provided for the duration of the project.

Rotation: 14 days on /14 days off

Shift: 12 Hours

Lodging: Camp/Lodging provided

Pre-Employment Requirements:

  • Successful completion of Alcohol and Drug Screening
  • Successful completion of comprehensive Fitness-to-Work Assessment. This assessment is job-related, focusing on the physical demands and safety sensitive nature of the work, and is conducted in accordance with Alberta Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) requirements and the Alberta Human Rights Act. The assessment will cover:
    • Health History Review:A thorough examination of the candidate’s health background.
    • Pre-Medical Evaluation:Measurements such as height, weight, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation.
    • Musculoskeletal Examination:A head-to-toe assessment to identify any limitations or concerns related to physical health.
    • Critical Strength and Mobility Test:A series of tasks assessing lifting, carrying, and positional abilities aligned with the job’s physical demands (up to 50 lbs).
  • Worker to provide:
    • Valid Safety Training tickets
      • CSO / BSO / CSTS-09/ OSSA Regional
      • Intermediate First Aid with CPR & AED
      • H2S Alive
    • Valid Driver’s License
    • CSA Approved safety boots - minimum 6\" high & fully laceable.

As a Parts Coordinator, you will be detail oriented, self-motivated and safety conscious. You’re a team player who’s customer service focused attitude does not go unnoticed.

In this position you will be a part of Morgan’s success by:

  • Receiving all incoming parts/goods, verifying against shipping documents, and assisting with unloading;
  • Demonstrating proper safe storage and handling procedures for all parts and materials/chemicals while maintaining a clean and orderly shop;
  • Preparing documents and shipping goods back to vendors, correcting damages/shortages as required;
  • Picking up and delivering parts and components;
  • Maintaining stocked shelves as advised; and
  • Actively participating in Morgan’s safety program and maintaining an excellent safety culture.

Experience / Qualification Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience working in a parts coordinator role;
  • Knowledge of proper shipping procedures for transportation of dangerous goods.
  • Capable of lifting/ pushing and pulling heavy items on a regular basis;
  • Use of skid steer, dolly, and hand carts;
  • Computer skills needed, experience in inventory control system and Microsoft office; and
  • Must possess a valid class 5 driver’s license;
