Your area of focus.

The Parts Advisor will be responsible for researching and sourcing parts for customers and technicians, ensuring timely and accurate part orders, and facilitating the sales process. Will provide exceptional customer service by issuing price quotes, selling parts, and handling special-order requests. This role also involves managing inventory, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and following safety policies to ensure a safe working environment.

What drives your day-to-day?

  • Research and source parts for customers or technicians
  • Issue parts price quotes
  • Sell parts to customer or service work orders
  • Complete special-order parts requests that need to be ordered by the customer
  • Communicate with the customer on the status of any parts ordered and notify them upon delivery to the dealership
  • Pick-up parts for customers or technicians as required
  • Restock shelves and put warranty parts into appropriate bins
  • Keep work area and displays clean
  • Must follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Other duties as required
  • Receive parts and put away stock
  • Ship domestically and occasionally internationally (USA)
  • Pick returns and prepare for shipment
  • Warehouse housekeeping
  • Other duties as required

What are the must-haves…

  • Some familiarity and/or experience with working in an automotive dealership and/or Parts Department
  • Completion of a related post-secondary program and or training courses is considered an asset
  • Experience with CDK is considered an asset
  • A general understanding of Parts & Service operations and inventory management
  • A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • A person of professionalism and high integrity who is trusted by others and consistently honours their commitments
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated and resourceful
  • High-level skills in Word, Excel and MS Office etc.
  • Ability to meet physical demands such as heavy lifting, standing for long periods of time
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
  • 1-3 years relevant experience would be an asset
  • Forklift experience would be an asset but training will be provided
  • Experience with an electric pallet stacker would be an asset
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated, and resourceful
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Comfortable using computerized receiving and shipping software
  • Knowledge of health and safe procedures, standards, and regulations
