Job summary

West Fraser in Smithers, BC is seeking a part-time Weekend Cleanup worker to join our Industrial Manufacturing team. Reporting to the department supervisor, you will clean machines and work areas, assist other processing workers and handle materials, with safety PPE and protocols in place.

This role requires no prior experience, accommodates 12-hour shifts on Saturdays and/or Sundays, and emphasizes reliability, teamwork, and a strong work ethic as we maintain a safe, productive site in Northern

Qualifications

• Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Availability to perform 12-hour day/afternoon shifts on Saturday and/or Sunday as needed.
• Good physical condition and ability to perform repetitive tasks.
• Reliable and excellent work ethic with willingness to learn.

PART TIME - WEEKEND CLEANUP

You'll Do:

• Reporting directly to the Department supervisor, the successful candidate will be a part of our Weekend Cleanup Department
• Clean machines and immediate work areas
• Assist other processing workers
• Handling and lifting materials
• Perform other routine maintenance
• Other duties as assigned
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols, wearing the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and taking precautions to maintain a safe work environment

You Have:

• Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment
• Availability to perform 12-hour day/afternoon shifts on Saturday and/or Sunday as needed
• Good physical condition
• Ability to work repetitive tasks
• Ability to work as a positive team member
• Strong commitment to follow all safety guidelines and protocols, wearing the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and taking precautions to maintain a safe work environment
• Reliable and excellent work ethic
• Desire to learn, grow and succeed
• No experience required

Compensation Package:

• The hourly pay rate for this position may vary depending on experience, education, and location.
