Job summary

Qualifications

• Must safely operate Oakville Transit vehicles.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of roadway rules and safety regulations.
• Ability to work on a flexible schedule, including holidays.
• Successful candidates provide required background checks.

Responsibilities

• Operate a range of public transit vehicles on routes and schedules safely and courteously.
• Assist customers with directions or information to reach destinations.
• Collect fares, issue transfers, and record passenger counts as required.
• Inspect vehicles and report any deficiencies, accidents or issues per regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
