Job summary

University of Ottawa invites applications for a part-time Student/Instructor position to deliver the course Applications of Statistical Methods in Business. The role requires a Master’s degree (PhD preferred) in statistics or related field and recent professional experience applying statistical methods in business.

Teaching experience in this area is highly desired. Course is conducted in person during the Winter 2027 term at Ottawa, with a teaching schedule that includes Monday and Thursday

Qualifications

• Must have a Master’s degree (PhD preferred) in statistics or in a field of study where statistical methods were applied extensively.
• Must also demonstrate recent professional experience directly related to the use of statistical methods in business.
• Must also have teaching experience, preferably in the area of the course.

Responsibilities

• Teach the course Applications of Statistical Methods in Business in person.
• Prepare lectures, assessments and, if applicable, labs (lab is optional).
• Engage in scheduling, student evaluation and academic duties as assigned.
