Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking a Server to work in its bright and welcoming dining room in Ottawa, Ontario. This role involves serving meals to residents and guests in a professional, courteous manner and supporting meal service operations in a senior living community.

You will help with table settings, tray delivery, and cleanup while maintaining dining area cleanliness and assisting with catering for special events. A VPS clearance is preferred, and bilingual abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• Preference given to individuals with experience in the food service industry and working with seniors
• Demonstrates excellent customer service skills
• Must be physically able to lift and transfer heavy, hot items and stand/walk for the majority of shift
• Proficiency in a second language is considered an asset
• Current (within 6 months) VPS (Vulnerable Position/Sector Screening) or willingness to obtain one upon hire

Responsibilities

• To attend staff meetings as required
• To participate in the Quality Improvement Program
• To uphold and promote the organization’s values and integrity as per Code of Conduct
• To complete all other tasks as assigned
