Job summary

Transdev Canada is hiring School Bus Drivers in Calgary for the 2026–2027 school year. This is a part-time split shift role with mornings and afternoons, offering summers, PD days, weekends, and holidays off.

You’ll be transporting students, performing safety checks, and supporting a positive, organized commute across Calgary. Paid training is provided and you’ll work within a friendly team with yards across all four quadrants of the city.

Qualifications

• Valid Alberta Class 2 driver’s licence preferred.
• S Endorsement considered an asset.
• Clean driving record; able to communicate effectively in English.
• Experience safely transporting people is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school on time.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Support student safety while boarding, exiting, and crossing the street.
• Communicate professionally with students, families, schools, dispatch, and supervisors.
• Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and operating standards.

Your role

• Safely transport students to and from school on time


• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections

Your profile

• Valid Alberta Class 2 driver’s licence (or higher) preferred


• S Endorsement considered an asset


• Applicants with a valid Alberta Class 5 drivers license may also be considered, with training support available to obtain a Class 2 S License.

Pre-hire Requirements

• Clean driver’s abstract


• Clear criminal record check


• Clear vulnerable sector check


• Successful drug and alcohol test, including cannabis, which is prohibited under corporate policy

Your location

• This is a part-time split shift position based in Calgary, Alberta.


• Drivers work Monday to Friday for at least 2 hours between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM, then return for an afternoon shift between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM.


• You may park at one of our four Calgary yards, depending on operational needs and your location.
