Help people create homes they love. Join the Urban Barn team as a Part‑time Sales Associate at our Kingston store in Kingston, ON. With over 50 retail stores across the country, Urban Barn is a national retail chain offering high‑quality furniture and home décor. We’re passionate about making our customers and our employees feel right at home. Here, you will enrich the customer experience while growing your experience with a well‑known Canadian retailer.

Accompany and guide customers to find inspiring furniture and home décor during their visit to our store. As a Sales Associate, you will represent Urban Barn by offering friendly service and product knowledge to help our customers create a space they love to call home. In collaborating with the store team and managers, you will provide our customers with the best shopping experience possible.

Our stores are open 7 days a week, so we’re looking for candidates who can work a variety of shifts (i.e. weekdays, weeknights and weekends).

What You Will Do:
  • Guide customers in their décor choices, suggesting the best products for their needs
  • Provide a warm greeting to every customer
  • Establish connections with customers to build customer loyalty
  • Carry out transactions (purchases, exchanges, and returns)
  • Maintain the visual standards and cleanliness of the store
What You Bring:
  • At least 2 years of Retail Sales experience
  • A passion for interior décor and merchandising
  • Ease of using technology such as a Point‑of‑Sale system and iPad
  • Flexible schedule to work a minimum of 3 days (12-20 hours) per week – including at least 1 weekend and 1 weekday daytime shift
  • The ability to lift and move loads up to 50 lbs / 23 kg
