University of Ottawa seeks a Regular Part-Time Professor for the Winter 2027 term to teach Affective and Persuasive Computing at the Main Campus. The position requires a PhD or current PhD, with expertise in affective computing, AI, ML, HCI, and multimodal data processing.

Responsibilities include delivering lectures (Friday 17:30-20:30) in English, developing emotion recognition algorithms, and contributing to scholarly activity.

Formación

• The candidate should have a PhD or be currently completing a PhD in Digital Transformation and Innovation, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field, with a strong background in affective computing, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and human-computer interaction.
• Experience with emotion recognition and affect estimation using deep learning on multimodal data is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of persuasive technology, and Python with ML frameworks is advantageous.
• University-level teaching experience and research contributions are highly desirable.
