Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking a part-time prep cook at Lakeshore Place in Kelowna, BC. Under the Executive Chef, you will assist cooks, prep vegetables, meats, and desserts, and help plate meals for delivery.

The role requires prior hospitality experience and a Food Safe Certificate, with a friendly, team-focused attitude. On-site position with competitive benefits and opportunities for growth within Cogir Real Estate’s North American portfolio.

Qualifications

• Recent related experience in hospitality or equivalent.
• Food Safe Certificate.
• Able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and clean vegetables and fruits using various techniques.
• Prepare meat, fish, and poultry upon request.
• Assist the Cook in plating and meal delivery.
• Wash dishes, pots and kitchen utensils and operate the dishwasher.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area; report equipment issues.
