Job summary

Pet Valu in Etobicoke is seeking a Sales Associate to help Pet Parents find the right nutrition and products for their pets. You will join a team of Pet Experts dedicated to exceptional customer service and hands-on support in a busy retail environment.

The role offers part-time hours with a starting wage of CAD 18 per hour, potential for growth, and opportunities to learn about pet care and store operations. Applicable stores may offer flexible scheduling and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• Previous retail or customer service experience.
• Must have pet experience.
• Working knowledge of POS system.
• Outgoing and friendly personality with strong customer service skills.
• Ability to lift 50lbs repetitively.
• Attendance on weekends and evenings may be required.
• Reliable transportation to and from the store.

Responsibilities

• Cashier and customer sales.
• Preparing merchandise orders, banking and other paperwork.
• Placing small items into stock in the sales area of the store.
• Sweeping, dusting and other general store maintenance functions.
• Assist in unloading delivery vehicles and stocking pet food and supplies.
• Other duties and tasks as required.
