Job summary

Coast Mental Health in Vancouver seeks a part-time Peer Support Specialist to share lived experience and assist clients across Community Homes, Supportive Housing, licensed care and drop-in programs. You’ll tailor programs to site needs with support from the Peer Support Manager and Program Director.

Responsibilities include leading healthy lifestyle activities, facilitating meetings, building rapport, and connecting clients with community resources.

Qualifications

• Lived experience with mental illness and/or substance use.
• Diploma/certificate in mental health, social services or peer support or equivalent experience.
• One-year recent related work, volunteer, or education experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to clients to promote healthier living during their journey.
• Lead healthy lifestyle programs and outings.
• Help clients achieve independent living while maintaining health.
