A healthcare provider located in Kamloops is seeking a Part Time Physician to join the Shapedown BC Program. In this role, you will review referrals, conduct medical intakes, and participate in care planning for children dealing with obesity and related issues. This position offers flexible scheduling, requiring one day a week for up to 32 weeks per year, providing vital support within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Review referral letters to ensure children/teens meet eligibility criteria.
• Conduct the medical intake with the child/teen including history and full exams.
• Participate in care planning with the program dietitian and mental health professional.
• Write assessment reports to be sent to referring providers.
• Complete post-program discharge reports and participate in team meetings.
