Job summary

Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton is seeking a part-time Mental Health Aide to support a multidisciplinary team in a safe, recovery-oriented environment. You will assist in direct patient care, promote independence in daily living activities, and observe and report information to professional staff.

This position is 0.40 FTE with day, night, and weekend shifts on a rotating schedule. Completion of Grade 12 required; further education or experience considered.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 completion required or equivalent.
• Combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist in direct patient/client care as delegated in a person-centred, recovery oriented and safe manner.
• Promote independence in activities of daily living.
• Observe and report relevant patient information to professional staff.
• Assist new patients and families with orientation and provide general support.
