Job summary

Alterna Savings is seeking a Part-Time Member Service Representative in Brampton to provide friendly, efficient service to members while handling transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, bill payments, and cheque cashing. You will identify member needs, promote products, and refer complex requests to higher staff, ensuring compliance and accuracy.

The role supports opening new accounts, answering questions about products, and maintaining a positive branch experience.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education preferred or an equivalent level of experience and education.
• Previous experience in a sales role, including cash is preferred.
• Previous Teller experience would be an asset.
• Ability to work flexible hours based on branch operation hours.

Responsibilities

• Responds to member/client needs by delivering friendly, efficient service and accurately processing various financial transactions.
• Resolves member/client issues at first point of contact where possible and refers to senior internal officers based on complexity.
• Strives to create a positive member/client experience through each interaction and looks for ways to improve the overall branch experience.
• Maintains knowledge of Alterna Savings’ products, services, and current marketing campaigns.
• Participates in sales disciplines and branch campaign initiatives and supports learning and coaching.
