Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a Hitch Service Technician to work at the Ottawa Moving and Storage Center, installing and explaining tow packages and delivering outstanding service to customers.

Qualifications include a valid driver’s license, basic wiring and tool experience, and a high school diploma or equivalent. The role offers opportunities to learn, grow, and participate in U-Haul University trainings, with a supportive benefits package.

Hitch Service Technician Primary Responsibilities:

Work Environment:

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, machines, fumes, or irritating chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing, or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields.

Physical Demands:

The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods both indoors and outdoors of remaining stationery, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted.
